He Said She Said

You have just been fixed up on a blind date and your friend has spoken highly of you to your blind date and vice versa. Friends continue to talk until the two of you meet. This back and forth ping pong conversation goes on for quite some time until you two decide to meet each other. The friend set up the meeting because numbers were not given out. Of course, this is a blind date.
You meet at the designated place hoping to find the man or woman of your dreams. Both of you are on time for the date and give each other a polite greeting. This man seems to be a perfect gentleman because he has pulled out the chair for you. First impressions can sometimes be false but, play along if you will because the evening has started out perfectly for you. The young lady gives you decent eye contact and you feel comfortable with the fact that she is doing this. This technique shows that she is paying attention to you.
Everything your friend has said about the blind date is true so far but, you never mention to your date what your friend has said about them. The evening was a blast and you go home to tell you friend how the date went. In your mind, do you think there would be a second or third date? Depending on how well the other person felt after the date. How much more should the friend stay involved after the first initial date? If the date goes well, your friend has done their part in setting you up on a blind date. It is entirely up to you and your blind date whether you should continue.
If your friend continues to ask questions on what you are going to do if the date goes as planned, tell them thank you for being a friend and you appreciate them trying to set you up on dates but, you feel that you can handle the situation at this point and that there could be a possible double date. Too much talk will get your friend involved and a friend should not be involved all the time.
